In my last post, we all agreed that chat won’t replace us any time soon (thankfully!). But how can we use chatbots and AI today to make our work easier?
One example: a simple prompt can be used to create a schematic cross-sectional drawing of a concrete beam – perfect for passing on specifications to draughtsmen quickly and precisely.
Here is a possible prompt that you can use:
**Create a schematic cross-sectional drawing of a concrete beam.
*Data:*
- Width: 35 cm
- Height: 60 cm
- Upper reinforcement: 4 bars, diameter 16 mm (labeled as ‘4Ø16’)
- Lower reinforcement: 4 bars, diameter 25 mm (labeled as ‘4Ø25’)
- Stirrups: Ø10 every 15 cm, concrete cover 30 mm (dotted line)
- Dimensions: 30 cm for the width (bottom), 60 cm for the height (right), with brackets
- Colors:
- Concrete light gray
- Upper reinforcement green
- Lower reinforcement red
- Bracket blue
**Drawing should be minimalist, clear and technically clean.
With such a clear and structured request, the AI can provide direct visual support – and we save time that we can use for creative tasks.
How do you use AI in your daily work? Do you have any examples or tricks? Feel free to share them in the comments!
